Wave Painter is a live interactive painting installation that uses a Kinect for motion tracking.  Using both traditional and optical flow techniques of video feedback, the canvas is in a constant state of motion, one that evolves in look and feel. This kinetic evolution of color and light plays against the established notion of painting as a means to an end with the goal of a final product, and turns it into a performative process with no end in sight.
